Sunday morning, Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post responded to a two-vehicle personal injury crash on US-41, 1 mile north of the M-67 intersection. A 25-year-old female from Trenary was traveling northbound on US-41 when she crossed the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle occupied by a 44-year-old male from Illinois. The 44-year-old was traveling with a 12-year-old boy and a 46-year-old male. The 25-year-old Trenary woman was airlifted to UPHS in Marquette. The occupants in the Illinois vehicle were transported to UPHS by EMS. The Crash remains under investigation.

The Michigan State Police were assisted by the Alger County Sheriff’s Office, Rock River Township Fire Department, Mathias Township Fire Department, Alger County Trenary EMS, and UPHS EMS personnel
