The name of the deceased snowmobile driver has been released. Dean Daggett, 59-year-old male from Kenockee Michigan was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. He was the lone occupant of the snowmobile. The incident remains under investigation.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post are investigating a fatal snowmobile crash that took place Tuesday afternoon in Moran Township of Mackinac County. A snowmobile driven by a 60-year-old male from Kenockee Michigan was southbound on Schoolhouse Rd when it came around a blind curve and collided with a logging truck. The snowmobile driver was the lone occupant on the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the logging truck was not injured. State Police were assisted by the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Dept, St. Ignace Fire, Hendrick’s EMS, and Straits EMS. The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol and speed are unknown factors at this time. No names will be released until next of kin is notified.
