Fraudsters are sending card fraud alerts by text and then following up with a phone call from the “Embers Fraud Department” requesting banking information, including your login ID.
Most recently, these have been regarding charges on old card numbers at Best Buy. Sometimes, they even make it look like it’s coming from our phone number – (906) 228-7080.
Please DO NOT give out your banking information to anybody who calls you, ESPECIALLY your password, one-time verification codes, or account numbers. Embers will never call you and ask you for this information.
