Former Munising resident and Fire Chief Joseph Beatty loved every aspect of the Munising Fire Department. Joseph served as a firefighter from 1967-2007, and Fire Chief from 1997-1999. Joseph passed away July 17th, 2021, but his presence with the Munising Fire department is still felt to this day. Joseph’s son Greg and daughter Karen presented the Munising Fire Department and Auxiliary with a significant contribution on Joseph’s behalf Monday night.  Accepting the check on behalf of the Munising Fire Department was Assistant Fire Chief David Fulcher, & Captain Ryan (Red) Anderson.
